About the program: Victims qualify for services through the Sex Crime Victim Services Fund if they seek treatment within 72 hours after the assault and involve law enforcement agencies. No one will be turned away. Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners operate the center and give assistance to sexual assault victims. The center serves as a safe haven for anyone, regardless of age, who has been traumatized by sexual assault or rape. The nurses have received extensive training to care confidentially and sympathetically for sexually assaulted individuals, while helping law enforcement agencies build a case to prosecute perpetrators.
