About the program: The purpose of Child Protection Services is
to receive and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect. Services provided to
families with these problems include, but are not limited to, Homemaker Services,
Victim Counseling, Individual Counseling, and Family Counseling. The office also
licenses foster homes and day care homes in Delaware County, conducts court-ordered
home studies and custody investigations and supervises all court-ordered placement
of children in substitute care.
