Eligibility requirements: Participants must be over 60or the
spouse of someone over 60 to receive donated meals and must be homebound.
Intake Procedure: Initiate a referral through the I & A office.
Area Served: Delaware, Blackford, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, &
Randolph Counties
About the program: The Nutrition Services Program provides hot,
healthful lunches that meet one-third of the daily recommended nutritional
requirements. These meals are available at sites throughout our seven-county
service area.
For homebound delivery, a referral must be obtained from the Information and
Assistance office. To visit a Healthy Lunch Site, individuals must make a
reservation in advance for the site at which they wish to receive a lunch.
Nutritional education is provided at the healthful lunch sites and through our
newsletter, "Spice of Life."
Meals can also be purchased through the Express Meal program. The cost is $5.75
for each meal. There is no eligibility requirement for the Express Meal program
other than the ability to pay the full cost.
