About the program: This program serves as a clearinghouse for
food and toy assistance in Delaware County. The aim is to provide low-income
families and individuals with a traditional holiday meal (with a voucher or food
basket) and toys (in conjunction with Toys for Tots) for Christmas. Twelve area
nursing homes are served by providing gifts, holiday magazines and Christmas
caroling to their residents through the League of Mercy Nursing Home/Shut-in Gift
Distribution program.
Volunteer Opprtnty.: Toy sorters, nursing home visitors. Help
in distributing gifts. Call for more volunteer opportunities.
