About the program: This program has intermediate and long-term care for adolescents whose treatment needs can be met in a non-secure setting, including victims of physical or sexual abuse or neglect, chemical dependency or children of alcoholics, status and/or property offenders, those with attention deficit disorder, conduct disorder, emotional handicaps, or parent/child conflicts. This program provides a caring, nurturing, and consistent environment that is consequence based with a behavior-modification system stressing accountable behavior. A family-system treatment approach is utilized to assist the resident and the family unit in making necessary changes to improve communication. While residents are in placement, emphasis is placed on working toward independent living skills.
