About the program: This program provides residential and/or
educational programs for grades Pre-K through 12 plus special classes. It provides
reading machines and other materials for blind or visually-impaired persons or the
reading disabled. Materials available for loan include cassettes and disk-playing
machines, as well as braille and large print books for students who are in formal
educational programs.
Outreach Services are provided to students who are visually impaired and
attending public schools. Resources are available in the areas of Orientation &
Mobility, Low-vision, and Technology Assessment. Early childhood consultations are
also provided.
