About the program: The goals of the Delaware County Health Department are primarily prevention of disease and health promotion, focusing on the health of the entire community. A wide variety of services are provided to individuals, families and groups in the community setting. Within the department there is a Public Health Nursing Division, Environmental Division and a Health Education Division, all offering a full range of services. In addition, the Health Department has a vital statistics division which provides birth and death information. Within this area, assistance can be given related to your family genealogy, dating back to 1882.
