About the program: The Center's program is designed to serve
persons who are socially isolated or those whose impaired health has confined their
interests and capabilties. The Center offers a structured day of programming with
music and the arts, discussion of current events, gentle exercise and nutritional
meals served in a colorful atmosphere of good conversation and friendship.
Information on a healthy lifestyle is provided through speaker programs on health,
safety and personal well-being. A warm and inviting environment that is conducive to
personal enrichment is evident each day at the Center with great regard shown for
the clients' individuality and dignity. The Center provides encouragement in
activities of daily living to the client and respite to family members who may be
involved in care giving responsibility. Clients attend one or more days per week,
according to their interest and need. Transportation is available through city and
country bus service with door to door escort service provided. A day at Alpha
Center is a stimulating change of pace for the client and an opportunity for
discovery and enlightenment.

Transportation: Staff will arrange MITS Plus service for Muncie
clients & InterUrban for county clients.
